It depends on the family. Each data sheet states whether the part is stackable, nestable, or both, along with its stacking conditions.

How much weight can a plastic pallet hold?

Accepted Answer

Depending on the model, a plastic pallet holds static loads from 1 to more than 2 tons, and dynamic loads (in motion with a forklift) of around 700 kg to 1.5 tons. The pallet itself weighs far less than a wooden one, typically between 8 and 15 kg. What matters is choosing it based on your load and whether it goes on the floor, in a rack or in transit.

Which is better, a plastic pallet or a wooden pallet?

For operations with many use cycles, the plastic pallet is the better investment — it lasts several times longer, doesn't shed splinters or nails, resists moisture and pests, and requires no fumigation for export. Wood costs less upfront, but you replace it more often. That's why more and more companies in Mexico are switching to plastic pallets like the ones we manufacture.

The most common size in Mexico is the standard 48 x 40 inches (approx. 120 x 100 cm), compatible with forklifts, pallet jacks and racks.
